All the details for the weekender.

We have 30 people for the weekender -  26 cyclists, 2 motor cyclists and 2 support crew (thanks Neil and Mags).

Please meet at Brought Ferry harbour at 7:45am on Saturday, aiming to leave at 8am sharp. Bags can be dropped on Saturday at the start, or alternatively, after 8pm on Friday at Stephen MacMaster's house in Invergowrie. Please contact Stephen if you wish to drop your bag on Friday. Note that it is expected you will be able to make your way there and back and fix any mechanical issues. The support crew are for bag dropping!

We will split into 3 groups, with a nominated ride leader for each. This is an all day social ride with 2 cafe stops. The group must stay together, ride at a pace that suits everybody in the group and if there are any mechanical or other issues, everyone stops and helps. The proposed ride groups are in the attached file, along with the Oban Hostel room allocation, click here.

The proposed routes are on the web site - Oban Weekender Day 1 and Oban Weekender Day 2

On Saturday we will stop at the Paper Boat in Kenmore (approx 60 miles) and the the Green Welly at Tyndrum (approx 90 miles).

On Sunday, please be ready for 8:45am for a prompt 9am start. We will stop at the Green Welly (approx 35 miles) and Tullybannocher cafe just before Comrie (approx 70 miles).

Dinner in Oban is booked at Piazza for 7:30pm (10 minute walk from the Hostel). Your weekender fee includes £20 per person kitty for dinner. Please bring cash to cover drinks and any other costs (we cant have 30 people trying to pay by card!).
