As it is now Winter and weather can sometimes not be great the Club is going to try a few changes to the Saturday runs over the next 2-3 months.

Plan is to start at 9:45am and have slightly shorter runs with cafe stop nearer the end.

Also plan to start the Saturday runs at 4 different locations on a rota basis. If you have any suggestions for routes \ cafes then please let us know, always happy to try new roads.

  • 11th December - Baldovie Toll
  • 18th December - Invergowrie (where we meet for the Wednesday evening Carse Loop)
  • 25th December - no club run planned, spend time with your friends and family :-)
  • 1st January - no club run planned, recover from Hogmany :-)

Scottish Cycling is committed to developing a network of progressive, inclusive and safe clubs. As such Scottish Cycling has introduced Minimum Operating Standards to ensure clubs have all the correct policies and procedures in place. Putting members and clubs first will lead to a safe and supported operating environment to protect both our club and our members. The club's Operating Standards are now available on the web site - Operating Standards If you have any questions or comments please get in touch with Graeme (This email address is being protected from spambots. The date of the next meeeting is 30 November at 7pm in the new Cycle Hub.

To mark the club's 50th birthday in 2021 we plan to have a birthday ride and then an evening curry night on the 2nd October.

Due to covid restrictions, the ride will be a normal Saturday club run, 2 distances (72 miles and 44 miles) and will split into groups. Would be great to get as many as possible in the new 50th anniversary top for a club photo before the start.

In the evening, Taza is booked for 7pm, please let Karen Knight know if you (and partner) plan to come as we will need to firm up the numbers with Taza.

The annual club Hill Climb Championship will take place on Saturday 18 September and is the Full Kilspindie climb. The plan is to meet at Invergowrie at 9:15am to roll out to the start. After the climb, regroup and head to Scone Airport Cafe for coffee and results.  All welcome, but only members times will count for the club championship.

It was great to welcome members back to the Club Meeting last night, good to see some of you for the fiirst time in too long.

The minutes are now available in the Minutes section of the web site. As a reminder, and for new members, you need to create a login to access the minutes. Hopefully pretty straightforward. In the Minutes page, you will see a login box, to create a new login, select "Create an Account". Fill in all the details and Register. You will then get an email once the account has been approved and you can login. If you have a login, but forgotten your password you "should" be able to select the Forgot your Password option (or drop a note to This email address is being protected from spambots. Another reminder, for new members, is that there is a members only Facebook page, in addition to the public one. Again, sign up in Facebook and if a paid up member you will be approved for access - (https://www.facebook.com/groups/850975095266536 )
